YOUR EVENT CAN MAKE
AN IMPACT, WITHOUT LEAVING ONE BEHIND.

Festivals, concerts, community gatherings, races and special events can generate a lot of waste in just a few hours. Piney Woods Conservation Group and Pinebelt Blueways work with local event organizers to make recycling simple, visible and measurable.

Our Event Recycling Program provides recycling stations, custom signage and volunteer support to help guests properly separate recyclable materials throughout your event. Afterward, we sort and tally what was collected so we can show exactly how much material your event diverted from the landfill.

Want recycling at your next event? Let’s make it happen.

HOW IT WORKS

1

PLAN

Reach out with your event details, estimated attendance and location. We’ll work with you to determine what recycling support makes sense for your event.

2

SET UP

We provide recycling bins and custom signage designed specifically for your event to make recycling easy for attendees to understand and use.

3

RECYCLE

Our volunteers can help
monitor recycling stations, educate attendees and
keep materials properly
sorted throughout
the event.

4

THE IMPACT

After the event, we sort

and tally the recyclables collected and provide the results so you know just how much your event helped divert from the landfill.

PRINCIPAL RECYCLING & SUSTAINABILITY PARTNER

We’re proud to recognize Waste Pro as a Principal Recycling & Sustainability Partner of Piney Woods Conservation Group and Pinebelt Blueways.

Through a generous $2,500 contribution, Waste Pro made it possible for us to invest in 20 ClearStream portable recycling bins, giving our organization the infrastructure needed to expand recycling at festivals, concerts, cleanups and community events throughout the Pine Belt.

These highly visible recycling stations make it easier for attendees to properly sort their waste, helping reduce contamination and divert more recyclable material from the landfill.

Best of all, they can be used again and again as our Event Recycling Program continues to grow. Waste Pro’s investment isn’t simply helping us recycle at one event, it’s helping build a more sustainable system for events throughout our community.

You may have already seen our
recycling stations around Hattiesburg!

We’ve provided event recycling at community favorites including Live at Five, Hattiesburg Craft Beer Festival, Downtown Crawfish Jam and more.

Each event gives us another opportunity to keep recyclable materials out of the landfill while making recycling a normal, visible part of gathering together as a community.

And we’d love to add your event to the list!

WHY EVENT
RECYCLING MATTERS

One event can create a lot of waste.
It can also divert a lot of it.

A bottle or can tossed into a trash bin disappears from sight, but it doesn’t disappear. By making recycling accessible and easy at community events, we can divert valuable materials from the landfill, educate thousands of people in the process and build habits that continue long after the event is over.

And there’s something especially powerful about being able to say:

recyclable items have been

diverted from the landfill.
