The Pinebelt Blueways is a collaborative project made possible through cooperative efforts with many special partners.  The Blueways were constructed with assistance of the Federal Highway Administration’s Recreational Trails Program administered by the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks, with matching funds and in-kind services provided by the City of Hattiesburg, Forrest County Board of Supervisors, Hattiesburg Tourism Commission (Visit Hattiesburg), Neel-Schaffer, Hancock Whitney Bank and Georgia-Pacific Leaf River Cellulose.  Other important partners include the Pinebelt Foundation, Jones County, Perry County, Pat Harrison Waterway District, among many others.
